My mentor always advice me that in the principle of ‘ADAB BERGURU’ (Manner of Learning from SIFU), I as the student must listen carefully and attentively to every word the SIFU says.
This very basic principle is : When the SIFU is talking or teaching, I as a student must only listen carefully to every word uttered.
“ONLY one person is to talk at a time”, said my SIFU.
What a simple rule in communication and yet many students nowadays CANNOT master this basic skill.
Maybe the students nowadays have the multitasking MODE like the computer Pentium 4.
They can do many many things at a time or may be they try to be the JACK OF ALL TRADES , MASTER OF NONE.
My advice to the wise students out there : "Just master ONE skill at a time".
And stop talking when your SIFU is talking.
Something to ponder ,
Try this : Your friend is talking to you , at the same time you also talk to your friend too. See this GREAT effect of communication in work. Can the message get through ? Think !!
